‘TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON’ TRAILER UPS THE BAY-HEM

In a last-ditch effort to convince audiences that Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was just a sweaty, malaria-induced nightmare, director Michael Bay has posted a new trailer for the third film in his rock ’em sock ’em robot series on his official site.  This final theatrical trailer for Dark of the Moon contains almost no dialog, and what little there is blasts proper grammar in the face with a forearm-mounted particle cannon. As usual, it looks like a loud, incoherent, spastic mess of indistinguishable metallic lifeforms raining carnage upon buildings and freeways while Shia LaBeouf screams “Optimus!!!!”, and the camera circles and pans fetishistically over military hardware. The movie opens on July 1.

‘GREEN LANTERN’ BANNER SHOWS OFF THE CORPS

MTV  online posted this brand new banner today from the upcoming DC Comics adaptation, showing off several key members of the Green Lantern Corps,  including the protagonist of the film Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds), Sinestro (Mark Strong), Abin Sur (Temura Morrison), Kilowog (voiced by Michael Clarke Duncan), and Tomar Re (voiced by Geoffrey Rush).  It looks terrific, and it should, because a recent report stated the CGI rendering costs on this film recently skyrocketed to $9 million over budget. Green Lantern hits theaters on June 17.
