Hello all! Things continue to roll along nicely here in Boxcar Astronaut land. You may have seen our cool new skyscraper ad, which I’ve submitted to run this Saturday through Monday over at one of my absolute favorite webcomics, Wally & Osborne.
It’s a very funny strip with gorgeous, clean, full-color artwork. Reading it has helped me overcome my intense hatred for Penguins in the wake of Hollywood’s oversaturation and near-exploitation of the durned things with March of the Penguins, Happy Feet, Surf’s Up, Madagascar….do I need to go on?
And speaking of excellent webcomics, if you aren’t reading J. Tierney’s Jet Packs & Time Machines…what the heck are you waiting for? It’s absolutely brilliant! Great concept, great writing, and incredible artwork. Definitely one to keep and eye on in the future (no pun intended) because it’s destined for great things. If you like our strip, you’re bound to enjoy JP&TM. Check it out.
Before I go I just wanted to briefly mention how excited I am over the developments and announcements that have come out of the recent San Diego Comicon. Footage of Iron Man flying amongst jets! The Dark Knight teaser trailer and viral marketing websites! Images of the newly-desinged Incredible Hulk! And, best of all, Karen Allen back as Marion Ravenwood in Indiana Jones 4! It’s a great time to be a geek!!!
